Optometrist

Dr. Melissa Morin is honored to continue providing high quality eye care and eyewear for the patients of Dr. Steven Markow as he enters retirement.

Dr. Morin is a Doctor of Optometry and Western Massachusetts native that has been serving the Amherst and Greenfield area since 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and went on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree from The InterAmerican University College of Optometry.

Dr. Morin has well-rounded internship training including caring for diabetic patients at multiple clinical sites in Puerto Rico as well as fitting prosthetic eyes on the island. Additionally, she served veterans at the VA Hospital in Leeds and provided vision therapy to young children, traumatic brain injury and stroke patients in La Jolla, California.

She has been a part of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), providing services
to the community of San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua and is a member of the American Optometric Association, Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor
Society.

She specializes in comprehensive eye health examinations, contact lens fittings, and is passionate about customizing dry eye and computer vision fatigue solutions for her patients.

In her spare time you can find her hiking with her husband, son, daughter and dogs, or planning their next adventure.

Dr. Morin is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Andria Demosthenous O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Andria Demosthenous attended the University of Dayton for her undergraduate studies in biology, psychology, and art history; she graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During her time in Optometry school, Dr. Demosthenous had the privilege of providing vision care to the Navajo Nation in Kayenta, AZ, as well as to veterans in White River Junction, VT. It was during her time in Vermont that she developed a deep love for New England.

She completed a residency in ocular disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and remained on staff for several years in the cornea/anterior segment clinic. Dr. Demosthenous also held positions at the neuro-ophthalmology division in Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH and various private practices in central Ohio, Kansas City, Kansas, and most recently in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

In the fall of 2023, Dr. Demosthenous and her family made the decision to settle in South Hadley, embracing the opportunities and delights that the Pioneer Valley has to offer. Fluent in both English and Greek, Dr. Demosthenous is thrilled to join the Village Eye Care team, bringing her expertise and passion to serve our community.

Brian Wadman O.D.

Brian Wadman O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Brian Wadman received his undergraduate education at the College of Wooster and his optometric education at the New England College of Optometry, graduating in 1985. Dr. Wadman became a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry in 2013. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and served as president of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry. When asked what does providing a transformational eyecare experience means to him he answered: Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients.
